Chakaranda's Finder 9.0 patch is a small patch that adds some very useful keystrokes to the Finder 9.0 menus
Feel free to redistribute the whole package in its original unmodified form anywhere you like

(Localized versions will to some extend be available as soon as Apple releases these systems)
In the File menu:
"Command-1" for Add To Favorites (in MacOS 8.6 and earlier it is "Command-H"
In the View menu:
"Command-J" for Icon View,
"Command-B" for Button View,
"Command-L" for List View,
"Command-2" for Clean Up and
"Command-3" View Options.
In the Special menu:
"Command-T" for Empty Trash
(after patching, you must restart to use the added keystrokes)
Before using: turn off any virus protection software, it won't let the patcher change any resources wich is what it actually does.
Double click the patcher and when prompted locate the Finder (it's in the System Folder) of your startup disk
Then let the patcher do its job and when finished move the original Finder (now located in the Trash) to a safe place.
Restart and enjoy ;-)
Yes!
Absolutely Free!! But if you like send me a postcard, an eMail, a million dollars, a speciality from your hometown or whatever.
Don't panic! The patcher makes a backup of the original Finder before patching and places it in the Trash.
So don't empty the Trash before you have moved the original Finder to a safe place on another disk or
a safe or whatever you like. I also recommend you to make your own backup of the Finder before patching
(just in case) Just reboot from your System CD-ROM and replace the (mis-)patched Finder with the original.

Nope! Better keep that simple :-) (perhaps if you all scream for it)
